We found the Lake Champlain Inn online, and decided to stay there a few days, based on information we found on their website. I didn't even think twice about our decision to stay there until I went online to get directions on Google Earth. I read many positive reviews, but there was one negative review that unfortunately put a big question mark into my head. Having only seen the place on a website, I was extremely nervous about our decision. I unfairly judged the Inn by reading a negative review that was obviously written by someone who had a negative experience there and decided to get back at the Inn by writing terrible things about it. We found the Inn to be very pleasurable. Nancy and Joe couldn't be nicer. They were very welcoming and put our minds to ease right away. They showed us pictures of the re-construction of the old farmhouse that the Inn resides in. (A huge undertaking. Anyone else might have torn the place down, but they decided to bring this place back to life.) They have done a remarkable job, but the job still continues and there is still work to be done. All in all it is a great place to stay and I wouldn't think twice about staying there again. The price is very reasonable for what you get. The breakfast really is gourmet.

Under new ownership since March 2017, this charming home has gotten a fresh update that is beautiful and cozy. Lani is a friendly hostess whose recommendations for local sights were exactly what we were looking for. Breakfast is homemade, ample, fresh, and delicious. Definitely recommend to anyone!
